We look forward to meeting you at your New Hire Appointment. There are 4 Steps that provide specific instructions on what you must complete prior to your start date:

Step 1 - New Hire Appointment

1. FINGERPRINT APPOINTMENT

If you require sponsorship on base, please let your recruiter know to ensure you’re sponsored the morning of your appointment. You will also need to pre-register for your MCBH DBIDS Base Pass at https://dbids-global.dmdc.mil/enroll#!/ (computer) or at https://www.dau.mil/faq/p/DoD-PKI-Certificates (from a tablet or smartphone). Take the QR code and identification documents you listed in DBIDS along with valid vehicle registration, state inspection and proof of insurance with you into the Front Gate Pass House on the day of your appointment. Failure to pre-register will result in denial of MCBH access.

2. FINGERPRINT PACKET

Bring the completed packet (typed and signed) with you to your scheduled New Hire Appointment along with two forms of identification.

Identification (One photo ID and one document that establishes employment authorization)
Photo ID:

  • Driver’s license
  • ID card issued by federal, state or local government agency
  • School ID

Documents that Establish Employment Authorization:

  • Social Security Card
  • Birth Certificate
  • Passport

Step 2 - NBIS Suitability Check

NBIS Suitability Check

After your new hire appointment you will receive an email with instructions to complete an NBIS background investigation online. You’re required to complete NBIS within two calendar days of receiving the email. Failure to complete NBIS within the required timeframe may result in a rescinded job offer. Please communicate with your recruiter if you need additional time to complete NBIS.

If you did not receive this email, check your junk or spam mail.

Once you complete the online investigation you will be prompted to electronically sign release forms, and lastly “Release investigation to agency”.

Inform us once you’ve complete NBIS or if you encounter any errors.

Step 3 - Benefits

Benefits

The employee benefits package is available to all Regular Full-time and Regular Part-time civilian Marine Corps non-appropriated fund (NAF) employees provides a full range of options, including health insurance, life insurance, a group retirement plan and a 401(k) savings plan. Enrollment in the benefits package is available to all eligible employees during their 31 day eligibility period. Failure to enroll during that period may result in delay or loss of coverage opportunity.

Step 4 - Start Date / Preparing for New Employee Orientation

Start Date / Preparing for New Employee Orientation

Your recruiter will contact you to confirm a start date and schedule you for New Employee Orientation (NEO).

NEO is an employment requirement for all MCCS employees and is a paid training. 

Regular Full-time and Regular Part-time employees first day of work will be attending NEO (required). 

New Employee Orientation Schedule

NEO is conducted biweekly and is a two day course held, Monday – Tuesday 0800 – 1630 and on a week that a Federal holiday falls on a Monday, NEO is held Tuesday – Wednesday 0800 – 1630 at Human Resources Bldg. 219 Classroom. You will be emailed a copy of your confirmed orientation schedule, please arrive on time.

Base Access

If you require sponsorship on base, please let your recruiter know to sponsor you the morning of NEO. You will also need to pre-register for your MCBH DBIDS Base Pass at https://dbids-global.dmdc.mil/enroll#!/ (computer) or at https://www.dau.mil/faq/p/DoD-PKI-Certificates (from a tablet or smartphone). Take the QR code and identification documents you listed in DBIDS and a copy of your job offer with you into the Front Gate Pass House on the day of training to gain MCBH 30-day vehicle pass. Failure to pre-register will result in denial of MCBH access. Failure to show your job offer will result in being issued a 1-day pass only.

Dress Code

The dress code is business casual and it is strictly enforced.

Employee Privilege ID / CAC

New hires will receive either an Employee Privilege or Common Access Card (CAC) ID during NEO or on their first day of work.

MCCS Employee Privilege ID’s are issued by MCCS Human Resources Office Monday – Friday 0800 – 1630. No appointment is needed, walk-ins are welcome.

CAC ID’s are issued by DEERS Office with an authorized CAC application DD-1172 form. If you’re approved for a CAC ID, MCCS Human Resources will issue you the application and help you schedule a DEERS appointment.
