Program Overview:

The Semper Fit Juniors Program is an initiative designed for 14 and 15-year-olds at the Semper Fit Center in Kaneohe Bay. This program provides these teenagers with the opportunity to use the fitness center independently, without adult accompaniment, after completing a required Fitness Basics class. This is a significant development from the existing policy, which requires children aged 12-15 to be accompanied by an adult, while those aged 16-18 have unrestricted access. The Juniors Program bridges this age gap, offering early fitness center access for younger teens.

• The program is exclusively for 14 and 15-year-olds.
• Eligibility hinges on successful completion of this class.

How To Get Started

1. Enroll in the FREE Fitness Basics Class at the Semper Fit Main Gym. The Fitness Basics Class is available by request.
2. Attend and complete the class to receive an individualized pass.

Fitness Basics Class Details

• Content:
  • Review of facility policies.
  • Basic fitness center etiquette and attire education.
  • Cardiovascular and strength training equipment instruction, focusing on safety and terminology.
  • Instruction on proper exercise techniques and the F.I.T.T. principle.
  • Guidance on setting personal goals and understanding realistic outcomes.
  • Healthy lifestyle discussions.
• Outcome: Upon completion, participants receive a badge allowing independent access to the Fitness Center.
• Access Times:
  • Weekdays: 1400-1730.
  • Weekends and Holidays: Regular operational hours.
  • Note: Outside these hours, adult accompaniment is still required.
  • Group Exercise Classes: Independent access regardless of time (fees apply).
• Entry Requirements Post-Class: Presentation of Military ID and badge upon entry.
