When thinking about higher education, high school students and adult learners alike often feel overwhelmed by the wide variety of options. That's where the annual Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) College and Trades Education Summit can help.

 

This year’s summit will be held on Mar. 14 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the John A. Lejeune Education Center. Attendees will have access to myriad resources including:

*More than 60 colleges, trade schools, and universities

*Expert advisors to help map out personalized education plans tailored to each person's skills and interests

*Information sessions about DoD SkillBridge, financial aid, Tuition Assistance (TA), VA education benefits, resume building, and more

 

Consolidating so many educational resources provides an unparalleled opportunity to explore academic and career pathways in one convenient forum. Ashley Adamovage, MCCS Education Services Officer, said, “We designed this event to encourage military-connected students of all ages to discover their best-fit school and career path. By bringing together top institutions under one roof and providing one-to-one guidance, we aim to help simplify the process of navigating the higher education landscape.”

 

Registration is not required and attendees are encouraged to allow plenty of time to explore the Summit.
