Want to exercise on base but don’t know where to start? There are several places that may offer the features you’re looking for in a fitness center.
1. Miramar Sports Complex
The Miramar Sports Complex, considered the “main gym” on base, is located in Bldg. 2471. This fitness center offers strength training equipment, a gymnasium, as well as various outdoor facilities, including a track. One item to note is that indoor cycling classes are offered at no cost for authorized patrons and offered for a fee for guests. This location also has a fitness center office where you can schedule an appointment with a fitness trainer.

2. F45 Studio
The F45 studio is attached to the Miramar Sports Complex, Bldg. 2471. The studio specifically holds 45-minute high-intensity group classes that are open to all authorized patrons. There are resistance-based classes and cardio-based classes offered weekly, and class formats change monthly. These classes are available at no cost for active duty members and available for a fee for other authorized patrons.
To attend, you can download the F45 app to book a class and either pay the “drop-in” rate per class you book or begin an unlimited classes membership, which is month-to-month! With multiple classes offered each day, there are many opportunities to attend at a time that works for you!
3. Semper Fit Center
The Semper Fit Center is located in Bldg. 2002, which is near the Water Survival Training Pool (which is 50 meters deep). It has a large aerobics room, several cardio machines, and a physical therapy room. This fitness center also has regular cycling, Pilates, yoga, and Zumba classes, offered at no cost for active duty members and offered at a fee for guests. For more information, visit our page.
4. The Barn
The Barn is located in Bldg. 7115, near the flight line and the enlisted barracks. You can find a range of cardiovascular machines, weight machines, and free weights. Additionally, there are certified strength and conditioning specialists for fitness advice and exercise prescriptions. With its central location, it is a prime spot for workouts before or after work or even during a lunch break. For more information, visit our page.
5. The HITT Center
The High Intensity Tactical Training (HITT) Center is located in Bldg. 2525. The purpose of the center is to enhance strength and conditioning, but you can also develop a foundation of fitness knowledge or develop knowledge as a physical training leader through the HITT Course. 6. Aquatics – 50M Pool and Water Survival Training (WST) Tank
The 50-Meter Pool is a military training facility and may be closed at any time to support military trainings. The aquatics program offers swimming programs for all ages to teach swimming skills or enhance swimming performance.
Please note that all patrons will pay a fee whether they swim or not. Active duty members and reservists can swim free of charge. Hold Harmless Waivers are necessary for non-military guests prior to utilizing the facility. For more information, visit our page.
