Spike Out Drugs: Substance Abuse Prevention Month Volleyball Tournament

21 October, 2024

In honor of Substance Abuse Prevention Month, Marines from MCRD Parris Island and MCAS Beaufort came together on Friday, 18 October, for a friendly yet competitive volleyball tournament. The event wasn't just about spiking volleyballs—it was about spiking out drugs and making a commitment to a drug-free lifestyle. Many participants signed the "Stay Drug-Free" poster as a symbol of their commitment.

The Substance Assessment and Counseling Program teamed up with Semper Fit to make this impactful event possible. A big shoutout to SAPR for showing their support and to Semper Fit, along with the Single Marine Program, for hosting the tournament.

Congratulations to Team Jeff from 6th Marine Corps District for bringing home the trophy and, of course, the bragging rights!

This event was a powerful reminder of our collective efforts to promote a healthy, drug-free environment.

Thanks to everyone who participated and supported!
